Technical Sales Representative (Civil Engineering / Geotechnical) Required

A challenging position to be filled in a well-known company in the field of geotechnical systems in Clayville, Midrand, for a technical sales representative, reporting to the Director.

We are looking for an energetic, self-driven individual with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the industry who has profound technical knowledge (geotechnical) with excellent communication skills and customer care ethics.

Key performance areas include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain, develop and expand business with current customers
  • Develop and implement new business activities to grow customer base and market representation
  • Provide monthly and annual reports and forecasts on sales activities
  • Provide technical advice and knowledge to existing and new customers
  • Communicate on various levels with customers – engineers, project managers, and technical staff
  • Develop and execute a sales and marketing plan
  • Provide quotations and feedback to customers
  • Follow up on quotations
  • Bring new products on the market

Job requirements:

  • Knowledge of civil engineering, geotechnical qualification or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience in the industry, sales experience would be an advantage
  • Computer literate in MS Office package
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships
  • Willing to travel nationally and within Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Planning, negotiating and organisational skills
